It really is stressful. It's like being thrown into a new job without any instructions. It's crazy. I hope my next experience goes smoother now as a more seasoned mama.

Absolutely. One of my biggest challenges was social media and what I thought motherhood would be versus what it actually is.

Erin- I can't imagine how hard that must have been. One of my dear friends just had a baby at 25 weeks and has a long NICU journey ahead of her. The stories she tells me about all the babies in the NICU are so sad. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment =)

Our hospital doesn't even have a nursery. It was just -here's your baby; good luck. And my babe couldn't latch, so I was thrown a hospital grade pump to start pumping while trying to also get my baby to latch every hour or so. Being in the hospital is definitely stressful!

I had SUCH a similar experience! I planned so much but in the end motherhood was immediately overwhelming in a way that no one could have prepared me for!

I can totally relate to your story. I had a traumatic birth with my first son. He spent a long time in the NICU after he was born. I struggled with PPD for months before I had he time and energy to do anything about it. Thank you for sharing your story so vulnerably.

I 100% agree. I never imagined I would need a C-section. I really wish I would have known the what-ifs before I went to the hospital.

Great read. I think it’s great you shared your story. I also had c sections but my first caught me completely off guard. I didn’t read any stories like yours. I was so unprepared. It never occurred to me that I might need a c-section…and I did….3 now. There’s power in being aware of what could happen and it’s easier once you know. Glad you baby is here and you guys are healthy! xo
