100+ Traditional Scottish Baby Names (to Use in 2021)

Inside: 100+ traditional Scottish baby girl names and their meanings to use in 2021

Are you looking for a traditional Scottish baby name?

Well, I have a confession. Last month, I binge-watched a show that I cannot seem to shake from my brain.

That show is Outlander.

Hands down, Outlander is probably the best show I have ever watched.

Outlander takes place in 1700s Scotland. It is full of history, culture, romance, and what I enjoyed most was the Scots language.

I played subtitles the entire five seasons so I could pick up on all of the Scots sayings. Some of my favorites are:

“Aye” – Yes

“Dinna Fash” -Don’t worry

“Ah dinna ken.” – I don’t know.

Because I cannot seem to shake this series from my head (now I’ve even started reading the Outlander books) and since my baby name posts seem to be such a hit, I thought I would detour from the romance language baby names and voyage off to Scotland with this list of 100 traditional Scottish baby girl and boy names to use this 2021! Enjoy
