Bring these Valentine color by number worksheets in Spanish into your preschool, pre-K or Kindergarten classrooms and get your students working on Valentine’s Day number recognition in Spanish. This will make for a great activity during math centers!

There are seven number printables in this kit and each will work on a different set of numbers. Here are the numbers included on each sheet:

Page 1 works on the Spanish numbers 1 through 5.
Page 2 works on the Spanish numbers 7-11.

Unlike in my St. Patrick’s Day color by number pages in Spanish where the color code is represented by a crayon, these Valentine color by number worksheets are little bit trickier.

Instead of the crayon, the code has the color word in Spanish.

Why?

This will help your little ones begin to recognize the different color words in Spanish.

If your littles are new to learning the color words in Spanish, I recommend printing off a copy of my color flashcards in Spanish (these will be available in the Free Printable Spanish Library upon subscription, too.)

You can review the color words with your students beforehand. For additional help, you can hang or put them near your students as a guide when completing these color by number worksheets in Spanish.

Don’t worry, these Valentine color by number worksheets in Spanish only include the basic Spanish colors, unlike in the St. Patrick day ones where you will find light green or light blue, gray, etc.

Not only will your littles learn math by working on number recognition in Spanish, but they will also work on strengthening their fine motor skills as the color tiny sections of the mystery pictures in these pages.

What images will your students find on these pages?

What art supplies should you use?

We like to use a variety of art supplies when working with our color by code worksheets.

Our go to is markers, but when we really want to get in the coloring zone, I will whip out the watercolor paints and we will go to town.

It will also work on your student’s comprehension as they go through and figure out which color goes with each number.

HOW TO USE THESE WORKSHEETS IN YOUR CLASSROOM

I recommend downloading and printing off several copies for each student.

Start by introducing the color flashcards to your students, or by writing the basic Spanish color words on the board.

Then, work through one worksheet at a time and together as a group. Go through and identify the different Spanish numbers on the sheet.

Together go through and quietly fill in the correct colors. Let’s see if everyone’s color on the number sheets look the same!

Once your students get the hang of how the activity works, you can then hand out different sheets to the students and let them try the activity in small groups or individually.

Go around the room and encourage the students to keep conversations and practice all in Spanish to get the minority language flowing.

In today’s post, i’m thrilled to share over 25 engaging activities tailored for toddlers, perfect for exploring the human body theme.

From interactive games like “Simon Says” to sensory experiences and creative projects, these activities are designed to spark curiosity, promote learning, and encourage physical development.

What is the importance of doing body parts activities for toddlers?

It is important to start teaching children about their bodies from a young age because it allows them to develop their body awareness.

Bodily awareness helps children identify where their own bodies fit into space and how to relate to the objects and people around them. It also encourages children to be more in tune with their physical and emotional needs.

So to help you find ideas to use to teach your children about body parts and bodily awareness, I have drafted up a list of 25+ body part activities for toddlers.

When should I start teaching my toddler body parts?

It is never too early for children to start learning their body parts.

As early as infants, you can start teaching your baby about the different body parts through singing silly songs like “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,” reading board books and talking to your baby about the different parts of the body.

By doing these activities frequently, your child will begin to recognize the names of the body parts in no time.

One of our favorite activities with our one year old was to ask him where a certain body part is. Since we are a multilingual family, we would ask him in Spanish first and then in English second. Lennox would get so excited to point to the right body parts, and was even more excited when we clapped and congratulated him.

Anecdote aside, let’s dive into this ongoing list of 25+ body parts activities for toddlers. At the end of the list, you will find some more advanced activities that you can use with your older children.

BODY PART ACTIVITIES FOR TODDLERS

I will start this list off with some activities that you might already be familiar with or might have done when you were a kid!

These are all body part awareness interactive activities that you can use in your body parts preschool theme.

Further down in the list, I will include crafted activities by other parenting and educational bloggers that might make fun activities for your classroom, too.

Here goes!

1. Body tracing

Lay down on a piece of cardboard box or on large sheets of paper and draw the outline of your child.

Allow them to color and fill in their silhouette.

Maybe they will want to add a face, or dress their silhouette up in clothes. Let them get creative with it.

Then, you can ask your child to find a part on their body and they can go touch it on their outline.

2. Foot and Hand Painting

Foot and hand painting is messy but fun!

Use washable paint and let your child paint their foot and/or hands and stamp them onto blank white paper.

Talk with your child about their art. What different elements can be found on each limb? Toes, finger prints, the lines of the hand, etc.

You can also let your child practice tracing their own hand and feet for some fun fine motor play.

3. Q-Tip Bone Painting

With black construction paper, cut out your best human outline.

Then give white paint and Q-tips to your toddlers. Encourage them to paint bones onto the body with the Q-tips and white paint.

4. Hokey Pokey

Hokey pokey is a popular kids game that involves putting limbs and body parts in and out.

All children stand in a circle and sing the following song, changing out the body parts each time. Children will also practice their lefts and rights.

Lyrics:

You put your right hand in

You put your right hand out

You put your right hand in

and you shake it all about

You do the Hokey Pokey

and you turn yourself around

That’s what it’s all about.

Your toddlers will have a lot of fun dancing around to this popular tune!

5. Simon Says

Another fun and engaging way to teach preschoolers about the body parts is by playing Simon Says.

Simon Says is a children’s game where one person plays the role of Simon who gives out instructions. Children must follow those instructions only if Simon says “Simon says.”

For example: “Simon says touch your nose.”

In this case the kids should touch their noses.

But if Simon says “touch your nose,” they should refrain from touching their noses.

It is a fun game that will help children develop body awareness and it will also guide children in following and giving instructions.

6. Play Twister

Playing this classic game of twister will help kids with gross motor skills. Likewise, they will also learn color recognition AND they will practice using the left and right sides of their body.

7. Play Operation

Operation is a fun game that you can play with toddlers. It will teach your toddler about different bones and organs and their location. In addition, they will get to work their fine motor skills as they use the tweezers to extract the different body parts.

8. Human body puzzle

Puzzles are so beneficial for toddlers. They improve memory, problem solving skills, visual-spatial reasoning, enhance moods and much more.

They are a GREAT resource for the preschool classroom and an essential tool for learning body parts.

This magnetic human anatomy puzzle for toddlers will make a lovely addition to your home or school. Hang it up somewhere and watch your littles work together to piece back together the human body.

9. Mr. Potato Head Play

I’m sure we can all remember playing with classic Mr. Potato head, right?

Mr. Potato Head is a great way to get little hands working and learning the body parts all while developing symbolic play and language skills.

10. Play a mirror game

Pair your child with a partner. Have them mimic each other’s body movements.

11. Playing and singing body parts songs

Playing nursery rhymes and super simple songs is another good way to learn about basic body parts vocabulary.

Below I will leave a few links to some body parts songs with catchy tunes that you can use in your classroom today.

12. Move like animals

Get your little learners moving like different animals. Talk about what body parts they use when they move like certain animals.

Have them hop like a bunny, crawl like a crab, jump like a kangaroo, waddle like a turkey, sprint like a cheetah.

You can even have each child pick an animal and have all the children create their own version of a way an animal walks.

This is a fun gross motor activity that will get your littles using and identifying new body parts.

13. Doctor play

In your classroom, or at home, set up a doctor’s office. Let your child pretend to be the doctor using this pretend play medical kit. Ask them questions about what they are checking so they can practice their body part vocabulary.

14. Read fun books about body parts

Learning about the names of body parts through books is super beneficial for your toddlers. They can connect new body part words through fun illustrations.

15. Modeling with playdough

Use these printable human playdough mats by Parenting Chaos to teach the different body systems and organs.

These mats are a great way to introduce the various human systems to toddlers and preschoolers!

16. Skeleton Sensory Bin

Littles learn best through their hands and there is no better way to learn about the human skeleton than through this skeleton sensory activity.

17. Human Body Sensory Tray Activity

Here is a human body sensory tray by Messy Little Monster that will help your children learn more about how awesome the human body. This sensory tray uses fun water beads paired with a free human body printable.

Watch as your littles try to match up the different parts of the skeleton puzzle.

18. Body Parts Coloring Pages

Another fun way to learn about the body part is through these fun body part coloring pages by Living Life and Learning.

In this printable pack, you can find body parts such as the head, shoulders, eyes and more and at the bottom of each page there is a word tracing component where your toddler can practice writing the letters.

19. Learn about the anatomy of the hand

Do this DIY model robot hand STEM activity by MomBrite to help your children learn about the anatomy of the hand, including the bones, ligaments and muscles.

This activity includes lots of fine motor components that will have your children cutting, taping and lacing to form their model hand.

20. Learn about the parts of the cell

This fun activity by Human Body Learning will teach your toddlers about cells through a simple pizza-making activity. It may be the most delicious way to learn about the body!

21. Learn about the five senses with puppets

This activity includes a free booklet and eye color cards where your child can draw the color of the eye for each family member and cut and paste the correct eye color for that family member in the booklet.

24. Egg Carton Toothbrush Painting

Teach your toddlers about the importance of oral health in this egg carton tooth brush painting.

The egg cartons make a great teeth activity due to their dips and bumps so children can see how they have to work their toothbrush in to “paint” all the little gaps.

This is a great hands-on activity to teach children how to brush their teeth properly.

I can’t wait to try this activity with my stubborn five year old who still loathes brushing his teeth!

25. Discover the different body parts in Spanish

26. Magic heart activity for kids

Teach your littles about the inner workings of the human bodies with this magic heart activity by Taming Little Monsters.

In this next section, I want to share a few activities to learn body parts for older kids!

These activities might be a little advanced for your toddlers, but maybe if you have older kids they can watch and get involved too.

Learn about how the heart pumps with this STEM heart pump model by Little Bins and Little Hands. It is an excellent way to teach kids how our blood pumps through our hearts. They will also learn new vocabulary like valves, chambers and ventricles!
Learn about the muscles of the hand with this STEM Muscular system hand craft for kids by Living Life and Learning.
Discover the lungs by making a lung model in just six easy steps with Human Body Learning. Your student will learn about healthy and unhealthy lungs, and what will happen if there is a blocked windpipe. What a super cool experiment.

Below are some ways you can use the Halloween Bingo Cards in Spanish outside of this spring bingo game in Spanish

Create a print rich environment by placing these around the house. Add adhesive magnets to the back of the laminated flashcards and hang them on your fridge or washer.
Print out multiple sets and work on sequences and patterns with your preschoolers!
One of my favorite activities is to print off two sets and use them as a memory game. This activity is perfect for younger children to practice language development and memorization skills to connect the spoken word to the image. Make sure every time you flip over a card, you say the name of what’s on it!
Choose from a selection of these Spanish Halloween books and see if your child can identify any of the words from the bingo cards in the book.
Practice writing these Halloween words in Spanish with this free printable Halloween word tracing worksheet for preschoolers.
Color in some of these words in these free printable Halloween coloring pages in Spanish for children.
Use these words and go on a Halloween scavenger hunt in Spanish to practice the new vocabulary.
You could also play a fun game by having your child stand on the opposite side of the room as you, or even better outside. First, shuffle the flashcards. Then, lift a flashcard and show your child. Lastly, if they guess it right, they can take a step or hop forward! If they mess up, a step backward! Will they make it to where you are?
Play What’s Missing. Pick a handful of flashcards to your child. Talk about the flashcards and lay them flat on the table. Then, take a scarf and place them over the cards and remove a card. Have your child guess which card is missing.
You could play a bilingual game and say the version in English. Have your child repeat it in Spanish and vice versa.
You could place the flashcards face up on a table and see how fast your child can recognize the word.
Play Slapjack by placing all of the flashcards face down on a table. Say a word on the list and have your child flip the cards over until they find the correct card.
Lastly, you could cut the cards in half and use them as puzzles by having your child match the words and images with their correct halves.

How to Play Halloween Bingo Game in Spanish

Now that you have your game printed and cut out, you are ready to play this fun activity. Are you ready to have so much fun?

Let’s play. Here’s how:

Give everyone a bingo card. This bingo came comes with 10 bingo sheets to use with up to ten players.
Then give every player a handful of bingo markers. You could also use items such as candy corn, coins, or small loose parts to mark your bingo game.
Let everyone mark their gratis free space.
Place all of the calling cards in the middle of the floor, or to keep them from going all over the place, in a small bowl.
Have the first player randomly select a card and announce it the group. Player with that image can mark their card with their markers.
Take advantage of this opportunity to keep the game in Spanish. After a couple times of play and learning the Spanish vocabulary, get competitive. Playfully remove a player if they resort to using English.
Repeat the previous step until a player fill up their entire card.
Give the winner a small prize.
Play again!

Tips to get maximum language use from this Halloween Bingo in Spanish

To make sure you get the absolute most language use out of this Bingo game, state the rule that the class or your family is only allowed to speak in Spanish!
If the child flips a card and does not know the word of the image on the card, help them out with the pronunciation. Even better, before the game, flip the the cards and review the words!

Then, you can ask questions or say phrases such as:

Repeating phrases like this to include the vocabulary word with help the new Spanish vocabulary stick!

Allow your child sufficient time to process the card that has been chosen, and to identify the object on their card. Try not to interject or speed up their finding process. Doing so might confuse the child or discourage participation.

Today I want to share 40+ scavenger hunt lists ideas for kids of all ages. Who doesn’t love a good scavenger hunt? I know that I do!

In this list, you can find a range of different thematic scavenger hunts, from seasonal scavenger hunts, to scavenger hunts to learn the ABCs, to math and science scavenger hunts. Cool, huh!

And of course, you will find my scavenger hunts in Spanish scattered throughout the post!

What is a scavenger hunt?

A scavenger hunt is a fun, interactive activity that is educational, too! They consist of a list of items usually centered around the same theme, and the point of the game is to find all or as many items on the list as possible.

The game can go as long as you want, or you can set a time limit for how long the game should last. It’s up to you!

Scavenger hunts are great for preschool and elementary-aged children. They promote new vocabulary use and encourage movement to find the items.

On this list there are some scavenger hunt ideas for older kids, too.

Another great thing about scavenger hunts is that they can be used indoors and outdoors. If the weather is nice, you can do a fun outdoor scavenger hunt. If it’s a rainy day or too cold, try an indoor scavenger hunt!

I use scavenger hunts often in our bilingual home. They are an easy way to learn new Spanish vocabulary and for encourage minority language use at home. They are also so much fun!

The free printable scavenger hunts that I offer on my blog come in both English and Spanish. They are great for the classroom and the home.

Since we love scavenger hunts so much, I decided to do a round-up post of a range of different scavenger hunt themes starting with my favorite, a gratitude scavenger hunt to remind us all of things for which we need to be thankful.

That said, browse through this list of scavenger hunts and see if you find one that will suit your child’s liking. There are some great indoor scavenger hunt ideas as well as outdoor fun ideas from which to choose. Happy browsing!

List of scavenger hunt lists ideas for kids

I’m going to start this list of scavenger hunts off with this gratitude scavenger hunt. This is a fun way to teach children about gratitude, something not easy to do given the self-centered nature of kids. This is an activity you can do multiple times throughout any season of the year!
Ready to get those listening ears ready? Print out this sounds of nature scavenger hunt (available in Spanish) and go on a nature walk with your littles. Explore new areas of your neighborhood. Find a spot far from manmade sounds such as cars, tractors, electronics etc. Find a spot to sit down and listen for the items listed on the sounds of nature scavenger hunt. So fun!

Here’s is a fun and free neighborhood scavenger hunt get the kids outside, walking around the neighborhood. Exercise and fun, all in one. Some words that you can find on this scavenger hunt are: Fire hydrant, trash can, dog, and lots more words that can be found in your neighborhood.
For another neighborhood activity, try this outdoor scavenger hunt with outdoor chalk. Have your littles draw items around the neighborhood and have all the kids find the items on the list!

While you have your chalk out, try this relaxing mosaic heart chalk activity. A mindful activity for all kids!

On your next trip to the playground, print out this playground scavenger hunt and have your littles search for different playground equipment such as the slide, the monkey bars or the zip line. Young kids will love this hunt!
For more outdoorsy fun, try this outdoor scavenger hunt that includes clue cards with easy, rhyming riddles to solve.
For your next camping trip, take along this interactive camping scavenger hunt to encourage your children to discover nature and learn the names of all the camping gear.

Before you head to the zoo, print out this zoo scavenger hunt and see if your kids can check off every animal on the list as they walk throughout the zoo.

Celebrating a birthday? Why not make it fun with this birthday scavenger hunt for kids and adults! Hide gifts where the scavenger hunt clues lead and have your child figure out the clues to find their gifts!
If your sweet girl loves her princesses, try out this princess scavenger hunt. Hide princess items around the house, or even in your backyard and have your darling look for all of the princess items, such as tiara, high heels, ribbons and more. So dazzling!

Is your middle schooler struggling with math? Why not make learning math fun with a math scavenger hunt that includes different items that can be found in everyday life such as a recipe with a fraction, a repeating pattern and more!
Sticking on the math theme, print out this measuring scavenger hunt by measuring items using different measuring tools such as rulers and tape measurers. Big kids might enjoy this game!

How to Make Blown-Out Easter Eggs: A Fun Family Tradition to Start This Year

With Easter not too far off, I wanted to share a fun tutorial on making blown-out Easter eggs. You can use these eggs as ornaments and save them for future Easters.

Making blown-out Easter eggs is a great idea to do with the whole family! Turn it into a fun tradition you can do each year!

Keep reading for 10 simple steps on how to make blown-out Easter eggs and how to turn them into a beautiful Easter decoration that you can use year after year.

Materials needed to make these blown out Easter Egg Ornaments:

Step 1: Make the holes in your Easter Eggs

The first step is the most tedious step in making these blown-out Easter eggs, and it should be done by an adult.

To remove the egg contents out of your fresh eggs, you will need to make two holes, one in the top of the egg and the bottom of the eggs.

To do this, I use thumbtacks.

Thumbtacks are ideal for this project because they have a super pointy side that will puncture a small hole in the egg without causing the egg shell crack.

There is a plastic push element on the other end of the thumbtack that will allow you to push the thumbtack in carefully, without cutting your fingers, unlike a small nail or needle.

To poke the hole into the egg, carefully hold the egg and apply pressure at the top and bottom with the thumbtack.

Twist it a couple of times, and it should puncture the eggshell.

Additional tips for putting a hole in your egg

I have read that adding a piece of tape to the bottom of the egg before making the hole prevents the egg from cracking. However, I did not use this technique, and I punctured a hole quite fine.

Make sure that you are not applying pressure to the rest of the egg while you puncture the hole so that you do not crush the egg.

Once you have punctured the egg, use the needle end of the thumbtack and go around the hole in circles to make a larger hole. This will help when you are blowing out the yolk.

This is the hole after I spun circles with the thumbtack.

You could also push around the hole with the needle end of the thumbtack to widen the gap.

Step 2: Blow out the yolk of the Easter Eggs

Once you have two holes, one on the top and the bottom of the egg, you are all set to begin blowing out the yolk of the egg.

If you did not widen your hole a bit, you might want to do so now, as it will take quite the air to get the yolk out of a tiny pinhole.

A smaller hole will make for a harder struggle to get the yolk and egg whites out of the inside of the egg.

Now it’s time to get the kiddos involved! Trust me. You will want to. This step can get a bit tiresome. It can make you head dizzy too. So get those little lungs working, too!

Once your holes are widened, blow from the top hole while holding the egg over a large bowl.

The bowl is there to catch the yolk as it comes out. Also, you can save those eggs for a future meal.

Begin blowing the egg white and egg yolk out of the egg.

Initially, the egg white will begin to drizzle out of the second hole of the egg.

Once you get to the yolk, you will have to blow a little harder. After that, it will start to squeeze out.

You may have to use your finger to remove some yolk that is being stubborn and will not extract.

Eventually, it will come through the egg, and so will the remaining egg white.

Be careful. Once the egg yolk comes through, the egg white might splatter everywhere if you still blow with the same force.

You should now have a hollow shell.

Repeat steps one and two for the desired amount of blown-out Easter eggs.

Step 3: Once you have emptied the contents of the egg, clean the Easter Eggs

To avoid your eggs molding or becoming rancid, it is best to wash your eggs.

You can do this by running them under a slow stream of water. You could also soak them in warm water.

I soaked mine in a water and vinegar mix and then rinsed them off.

Step 4: Set Aside to Dry

Step 5: Design Your Blown-Out Easter Eggs (optional step)

This next step is entirely optional. You can skip this part and go straight to the painting if you want a blank surface.

My son Lennox enjoys painting when I create a design for him to fill in. So, I took a sharpie for this step and added some designs to some of the eggs.

Some of them I left blank.

Step 6: Paint Your Easter Eggs

Now comes the exciting step, painting the empty shell! So much fun!

We used acrylic paint because I plan on saving these eggs and using them as ornaments. Thus, acrylic paint is more permanent.

I recommend using washable paint if you have little kids, so you don’t get permanent paint everywhere!

Nonetheless, whether your child is younger or older, paint is bound to get somewhere, so I have an AWESOME tip for you.

*Carry a bottle of this CitraSolv degreaser concentrate with you. I use this bad boy for EVERYTHING: cleaning countertops, floors, bathrooms, windows, and even laundry.

Once you purchase this cleaning product, you will be saying goodbye to all the rest. I’m not kidding.

And a little bit goes a LONG way.

It is also great for removing acrylic paints, glues and stickers. Yup! Do you have stickers stuck on a surface? Soak them in this bad boy for a couple of minutes, and it will come off with ease.

Back on point, I put a little bowl of water with a few drops of CitraSolv with a paper towel nearby to clean up quick messes and soak our paintbrushes in between use.

This will allow a creative and fun experience with painting the eggs.

Happy painting!

Step 7: Let Eggs Dry & Add a second coat of paint.

Once your eggs are painted, set them somewhere to dry. I recommend a throwaway plastic container, parchment paper, or even a dish. If you get paint on your plate, apply some Citrasolv, and it will come right out!

Likewise, we also used these little tiny mason jars to sit our blown-our Easter eggs on. They worked perfectly!

Once dry, apply another coat of paint if needed.

Step 8: Add Glitter (optional)

If you’re interested in adding glitter to your eggs, this is the step. For best results, make sure your eggs are dried before adding glitter. If they are still wet with paint, the glitter will stick to the paint.

We applied our glitter using a clear Elmer’s glue.

I poured some glue onto our paint palette, and we painted our eggs with the clear glue where we wanted the glitter to show up.

Then, we sprinkled glitter over our egg over a disposable paper plate, turning it to get all the glued areas covered.

Step 9: Let dry, seal with your blown-out Easter eggs with a protective layer.

Let your eggs dry from the glue and glitter. Once they are dry, add a protective coat over your eggs if you want to preserve them for future use.

I used this Polycrilic Protective Clear Gloss, but you could also use Modge Podge craft glue

Step 10: If you want to hang your blown-out Easter Eggs, add string

Yay, you have made it to the last step, adding string.

If you do not wish to hang your eggs, you don’t need to do this step.

If you wish to hang your eggs, take some thread or yarn.

Make a knot at the end of the thread. Keep making a knot in the same place until it looks slightly bigger than the hole in the egg.

Tip: Do not tie to knot too tight. You will need to wiggle it into the hole, so the looser, the better. Also, once the knot is inside the hole, it will expand and prevent it from coming back through the hole.

The knot is only slightly bigger than the hole itself.

Once your knot looks the right size, take your thumbtack and gently wiggle the knot into the hole.

Your egg should be pretty tough now with the paint and protective finish layers. That doesn’t mean you should go throwing it like a baseball.

Voilá. Your egg ornament is finished! Now you can hang it or them somewhere around the house, or make an Easter tree. What a beautiful Easter decoration, right?

We hung ours from our mantle. I love how it looks!

Well, look no more! This Spring Bingo in Spanish is a perfect way to learn Spanish at home or in the classroom. Play it in small groups or in groups of up to 10. You decide!

What do you need for this Spring bingo game in Spanish?

For this printable PDF activity, you will need:

8.5 x 11 printer paper or card stock
A printer
Bingo chips or something to mark bingo with such as pebbles or rocks. Legos even work too!
A laminator and laminating sheets if you want to save this game and play it again another day!

Below are some ways you can use the flashcards outside of this spring bingo game in Spanish

Create a print rich environment by placing these around the house. Add adhesive magnets to the back of the laminated flashcards and hang them on your fridge or washer.
Print out multiple sets and work on sequences and patterns with your preschoolers!
One of my favorite activities is to print off two sets and use them as a memory game. This activity is perfect for younger children to practice language development and memorization skills to connect the spoken word to the image. Make sure every time you flip over a card, you say the name of what’s on it!
You could also play a fun game by having your child stand on the opposite side of the room as you, or even better outside. First, shuffle the flashcards. Then, lift a flashcard and show your child. Lastly, if they guess it right, they can take a step or hop forward! If they mess up, a step backward! Will they make it to where you are?
Play What’s Missing. Pick a handful of flashcards to your child. Talk about the flashcards and lay them flat on the table. Then, take a scarf and place them over the cards and remove a card. Have your child guess which card is missing.
You could play a bilingual game and say the version in English. Have your child repeat it in Spanish and vice versa.
You could place the flashcards face up on a table and see how fast your child can recognize the word.
Play Slapjack by placing all of the flashcards face down on a table. Say a word on the list and have your child flip the cards over until they find the correct card.
Lastly, you could cut the cards in half and use them as puzzles by having your child match the words and images with their correct halves.

You will also receive 10 Bingo Suertudo playing game cards to go along with the vocabulary cards. Each of the cards comes with a free space This means that you can play with up to 10 players in each game!

In each of my previous Bingos I have used a fun bilingual name name to go along with the bingo game.—Bingo enamorado, Bingo Navideño, Bingo Suertudo and my winter bingo game, Bingo Invernal.

This bingo is called Bingo en flor ( Bingo in Bloom) to go along with the blooming spring season!

Once you print off your Spring bingo cards and bingo mats, I recommend laminating them so you can save them for future use!

Then, cut out the laminated cards.

Once the spring vocabulary cards are cut out, place the cards face down in a pile or in random order.

Give each player a bingo sheet.

Then in order (youngest to oldest/ clockwise/ however you choose) pick up a card from the pile. Have the person picking up the card say what card they have in Spanish.

Lastly, all players with the selected vocabulary card on their bingo sheet, should mark it with a bingo chip.

The first player to fill their card wins!

Tips to get maximum language use from this Spring Bingo in Spanish!

To make sure you get the absolute most language use out of this Bingo game, state the rule that the class or your family is only allowed to speak in Spanish!
If the child flips a card and does not know the word of the image on the card, help them out with the pronunciation. Even better, before the game, flip the the cards and review the words!

Then, you can ask questions or say phrases such as:

“¿Quién tiene el ____? “

“¡Solamente mamá tiene la ______!”

“¡Wau, todos temos los ___!”

¡Qué suertudo, tu tienes el arcoiris!

Repeating phrases like this to include the vocabulary word with help the new Spanish vocabulary stick!

Allow your child sufficient time to process the card that has been chosen, and to identify the object on their card. Try not to interject or speed up their finding process. Doing so might confuse the child or discourage participation.
